| The European Pipeline Research Group (EPRG) The European Pipeline Research Group (EPRG) is a registered association of European pipe manufacturers and gas transmission companies. We address issues of common interest concerning the technical integrity of gas transmission pipelines, in the areas of pipe manufacture, pipeline design, construction, operation and maintenance. We publish research results, recommendations and guidelines in journals and at conferences, enabling the findings to be made available to the wider pipeline industry. Much of our work is incorporated in national and international standards for pipeline design, construction and operation. The membership and organisation of EPRG has evolved since it was formed in 1972, reflecting the changing patterns within both the pipe manufacturing and the pipeline operation industries in Europe. The Pigging Products and Services Association (PPSA) The Pigging Products and Services Association (PPSA) was formed in 1990 and has 100+ members representing the pigging industry throughout the world. PPSA plays a major role in providing information and sourcing pigging equipment and services for the pipeline industry and responds to hundreds of enquiries each year through its web site www.ppsa-online.com. It provides a free technical information service and runs seminars on pigging. The next seminar is on 16th November 2011 in Aberdeen, UK. It's aims are, "To promote the knowledge of pigging by providing a channel of communication between the members themselves, and with users and other interested parties". |
